What is Protective Security?

Physical security (PhySec)

Physical security measures aim to either prevent a direct attack on premises or reduce the potential damage and injuries that can be inflicted should an incident occur. For most organisations this generally is applied through a mixture of general good housekeeping and appropriate investments in CCTV, intruder alarms, detection systems, fencing, lighting, Hostile Vehicle Mitigation that deter as well as detect.
